Odíhg Foriē̼èd (/for/ /j̼ɛd/ [flame] [indigo]) is a subtropical Town located in Mihevapu Hold, Sàsdāgíh Provence, within the Tauranian United Provinces.

The name Odíhg Foriē̼èd is derived from the Tauric language, as Odíhg Foriē̼èd was founded by Dyênmtco Thomas Baines, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Odíhg Foriē̼èd has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Odíhg Foriē̼èd receives an average of 288 cm/y (113 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Odíhg Foriē̼èd covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 1028 m (3372 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Odíhg Foriē̼èd was founded durring the late 13th century in summer of the year 1155, by Dyênmtco Thomas Baines. The establishment of Odíhg Foriē̼èd was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Dyênmtco Thomas Baines struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Odíhg Foriē̼èd as a prison colony.

Odíhg Foriē̼èd was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Odíhg Foriē̼èd is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Odíhg Foriē̼èd is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of crampt cobblestone streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. The town's timber-based walls have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. That alone wouldn’t be too noticeable, if it wasn’t just so omnipresent and overwhelmingly how the people of this town live.

The style used is characterized by order, symmetry, formal design, grandiosity, and elaborate ornamentation. Architectural characteristics include balustrades, balconies, columns, cornices, pilasters, and triangular pediments. Stone exteriors are massive and grandiose in their symmetry; interiors are typically polished and lavishly decorated with sculptures, swags, medallions, flowers, and shields. Interiors will often have a grand stairway and opulent ballroom..

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century Torment Mountain, an iconic vista located neare Odíhg Foriē̼èd, proved to be volcanic when the mountain erupted. The eruption was isolated to the area around Odíhg Foriē̼èd, which was swallowed in ash, lava flows, and pyroclastic gasses. Odíhg Foriē̼èd lost 291 people, 311 livestock, and 55 buildings in the disaster. The event is forever remembered as the Day of Torment's Wrath.
